My equipment.
Clients these days are savvy and know a lot about photography equipment. Back in the day you could call yourself a professional photographer and everyone would take your word for it. Now people wanna see what gear you got.
Having said that, I want to stress that a photographers skills are equally important if not more. A good photographer can take great photos with whatever equipment is available to them.
Canon EOS 5D Mark IV
Its a full frame camera for professional photographers. Extremely fast camera, has a great sensor, well built, produces very sharp images. I love this camera.
Sony Alpha a7 III
Full frame mirrorless camera thats giving Canon and Nikon a run for their money. Everyday Canon and Nikon users are switching to Sony because of the phenomenal image quality these cameras are producing. I use this camera for videos and also as a backup camera. Every professional wedding photographer should have a main camera and a backup camera in case one of them fails at an event.
Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM
One of the best wide angle zoom lens from Canon. If you’re a professional photographer covering weddings you absolutely gotta have this lens. This is a very sharp lens, takes high quality pics, has an extremely fast autofocus. if you’re covering weddings that is extremely important. Sometimes moments come and disappear very quickly. There are no retakes. If your lens is not fast enough then you may miss a precious moment.. One of my favourite lenses.
Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM
If you’re a wedding photographer and you had only 2 lenses then one will be 24-70 f/2.8 and this will be the other one. This is a monster of a lens. Amazing build quality, very accurate, super fast in focusing, has image stabilization and produces beautiful bokeh. I am a huge huge fan of this lens. Love the quality of photos that it takes.
Sony 85mm f1. 4 G Master
One of the best portrait lenses that all photographers die to have in their arsenal. Ideal for taking outstanding and smooth portraits. Ultrasharp lens, excellent bokeh, extremely fast and essentially silent autofocus.
Canon 17-40 f4
Super wide angle lens and economical L series lens. All the L series lenses are professional quality lenses by Canon. Great lens, good value for money.
Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 Di III RXD
Fabulous image quality, great handling, compact and lightweight. Produces sharp, crisp photos.
Sony 28mm f/2
Super light lens, I would say it’s literally weightless. Instantaneous autofocus, fast f/2 aperture for really low light photography. Love this lens.
Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art Lens
One of the best prime lenses from Sigma. Helps create super sharp images with blurry backgrounds. Extremely extremely fast lens. The focal length of this lens is exactly what you see with a naked eye. Viewers get a vantage point similar to what they see in real life. Most wedding and portrait photographers have this lens.
